ABOUT SOLSNØ

Hi, I'm Irlinn. I'm the artist behind "SOLSNØ".

I am so exited that you are here. "SOLSNØ" is the combination of two Norwegian words "sol" (sun) and "snø" (snow). I take inspiration for my art in nature. I grew up on the sea side, in Brittany, France. I'm also half Norwegian from my mother's side. SOLSNØ is a form of expression, an escape, a way to practice art that mean so much for me. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful journey.

UNIQUE

Each piece of jewellery I create is unique in the world. In fact, even if I tried myself, I wouldn't be able to make the same piece twice.

MATERIAL

Polymer clay is a versatile, durable and ultra light weight material. I usually add a layer of UV resin on the front side for shine and to enhance the colours. The findings are 24k gold plated and/or stainless steel.

CRAFTMANSHIP

I design and print the 3D cutter shapes for my jewellery. I create each colour mixing clay with pigments and inks. Sanding, drilling, resin coating, assembling, marketing, photograpy and videos. All part of a long and tedious process giving high quality unique designs made with care and passion.
